User Agreement & Terms of Use
Last updated: 27 June 2026
This Agreement governs your use of the VBC Hiring platform ("the Platform"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these terms.
1. The service
The Platform helps a business manage hiring - posting roles, receiving and screening applications, assessments, interviews, offers, background checks, and onboarding. Some features are AI-assisted.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. The business owner is responsible for the team members they add.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Platform only for lawful hiring. You will not use it to discriminate unlawfully, to harass applicants, to upload unlawful content, to attempt to breach security, or to misuse anyone's personal data.
4. Applicant data responsibilities
The hiring business is the data fiduciary for the applicant data it collects. You confirm you have a lawful basis to collect and process that data, will honour applicant rights and consent, and will set an appropriate retention period.
5. AI assistance
AI features (such as job-post drafting, CV screening, and assessment scoring) are decision-support tools only. They may be imperfect. All hiring decisions - including shortlisting, rejection, and the final hire - are made and owned by the business, not by the AI. You agree to review AI output before acting on it.
6. Intellectual property
The Platform, its software, and its design remain the property of VBC. Content you create (job posts, your data) remains yours. You grant VBC the limited rights needed to operate the Platform for you.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the Platform available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VBC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for hiring decisions made by your business using the Platform.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Platform at any time. We may suspend access for breach of these terms or for unlawful use.
10. Governing law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of India, and the courts at the business's registered location shall have jurisdiction.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
